Take learning to the next level with the InnoTab Learning App Tablet by VTech! Just like tablet computers for adults, the Vtech InnoTab can perform a range of different functions through the use of various apps. The main difference is that these apps are designed to be educational, and come in the form of reading games, creativity apps and other tools.

The InnoTab tablet comes with 128MB of storage in-built (mainly to service the pre-installed software and apps), players for MP3s and video files, a display stand on the rear, and a little stylus, although a finger can control many of the less intricate functions. VTech InnoTab Extra cartridges, sold separately, contain a bigger variety of games including those with officially licensed characters and stories from movies or TV shows. Extra games and eBooks can also be downloaded from Vtech's website, as long as you have the ability to connect the tablet up to your home computer.

Another nice feature that uses the tilt / motion sensor is the 3D coloring app. This fun coloring game allows kids to color in a variety of coloring pages and then when shaking the InnoTab the scene comes to life, things move around, giving a 3D look and feel. Build quality of the VTech is very impressive. While we wouldn't advise it, we'd expect it to take quite a bashing and still work just as well. Unlike the LeapPad, the bezel and surround that border the touchscreen is wide and chunky, and although it's still smaller than an iPad (for example), it's still big enough to fool younger kids.

Kids can really learn about and have the full multimedia experience with the   integrated MP3 player so that they can listen to their favorite songs, as well as view videos with the built-in Video Player.  Other integrated applications include a Calculator, Calendar, Notepad, Clock with personalized voice alarm and Friends Address Book.

After the amazing Rocky the Robot Truck and last years must-have Stinky the Garbage Truck Matchbox have released Smokey the Fire Truck to join the Big Rig Buddies line and I have a feeling that Smokey is going to be one of the most popular toys that Matchbox have released so far.

Just like the other Big Rig Buddies Smokey who is a Fire Engine is completely interactive and comes with a fantastic range of cool features from the moment you turn Smokey on he comes alive with engine and siren sounds and flashing blue lights just as you would see on a real fire truck, but unlike a real fire truck Smokey starts to talk and the front grill moves as his mouth which is really amazing, this is the first realistic moving mouth seen on this series.

Then with the push of another button Smokey the Fire Truck springs to life and becomes a walking talking robot truck, the front wheels move as arms and he can move from side to side. On top of Smokey you will notice his water cannon, after all he is a fire engine, when Smokey the Fire Truck will tell you that there is a fire and you can then use the water cannon which is actually a launcher to shoot out a plastic rocket, kids will go crazy for this.  You can actually load up to 3 water rockets and fire them and Smokey the Fire Truck will let you know when he is empty so you can reload!
